Fall Term Lending Library

Chemeketa’s Lending Library has textbooks to check-out for fall term.

Requests are made online through the Library. Materials may be requested by logging in to your library account with your MyChemeketa username and password. Instructions for this process are available at https://libraryguides.chemeketa.edu/reserves/text_searching. You will be able to request items from the CL and PCY Collections.

Requested materials can be picked up at your selected location of Salem Campus, Yamhill Valley Campus, Polk Center, Woodburn Public Library, or the items can be mailed to you for a fee.  Mailed items will be shipped to the address that you have on file with the College. If you need to change your address go to My.Chemeketa (you can review and update your address under Personal Information).  The address updates overnight in the College system, so you will need to wait until the next day for the Library system to update, in order to submit your hold request.

The bookstore will be offering free digital textbooks for many titles in the Fall.  Be sure to find out whether or not you need a textbook before placing your request.  Information is available at https://bookstore.chemeketa.edu/home.aspx.

Important Information to know:

  • Lending Library Requests begin: Wednesday, September 8, 2021 (in person or by mail with a fee)

  • Materials can be picked up in person at Salem Campus, Yamhill Valley Campus, Polk Center, or the Woodburn Public Library.  Allow 1 business day for processing if picking up at the Salem Campus and 3-4 business days to arrive at other locations.

  • Materials can be mailed to you for a fee. Items are mailed Media Rate and can take 7-10 days to arrive. Mailed items will be shipped to the address that you have on file with the College.

  • You may request items with Call Numbers that begin with CL and PCY

  • You must be currently registered for Fall Term 2021

  • Free digital textbooks are available through the bookstore for many titles

Requesting Fall Term College Laptops

A limited number of laptops are available for students to use during fall term. If you need a laptop, please visit Laptop Requests, Returns, and Renewals – Laptops – LibraryGuides at Chemeketa Community College for information on laptop checkout for your preferred pickup location.
